Gindo’s
Our cheesy quiche recipe is the perfect addition to any brunch situation. Loaded with veggies and plenty of flavor. Feel free to add more Gindo's if you want to up the heat level.
1 refrigerated or frozen pie crust
6 large eggs
1 ½ Tbsp Gindo’s Original Hot Sauce
1 tsp Gindo's Savory Salt
3/4 C milk or cream
2 C chopped kale or spinach
1 C chopped mushrooms
1 C cheddar cheese divided
1 chopped green onion
1 tsp minced garlic & shallot
1 Tbsp regular or clarified butter
1/2 tsp Gindo's Savory Salt
Fresh cracked black pepper
Preheat oven to 375º
In a large sauce pan saute kale, mushrooms, butter and 1/2 tsp Gindo’s Savory Salt until no liquid remains. ( about 10 minutes )
Remove pie crust from freezer set out while you continue with your prep. If using a refrigerated pie crust, unroll and press into a 9" pie plate, and crimp the top edges.
In a large bowl whisk together eggs, milk, Gindo's original, 1 tsp Gindo's savory salt and cracked black pepper.
Add sauteed veggies, 1/2 cup of cheese and green onions to your pie crust and pour the egg mixture over top. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 Cup of cheese on top of egg mixture.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is completely set. let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
