Full disclosure, I have never been a big tartar sauce fan. I LOVE this tartar sauce! Turns out all tartar sauce needs is a touch of Gindo's. Try using homemade mayonnaise in this recipe.
1/2 C mayonnaise
1 Chopped dill pickle
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp capers chopped (optional)
1 Tbsp Gindo’s Jalapeno Poblano
1 Tbsp chopped fresh dill
1 tsp dijon mustard
salt and pepper to taste
Combine mayonnaise, pickle, lemon juice, capers, Gindo’s, dill and mustard in a bowl and mix until blended and creamy.
Season with a pinch of salt and pepper if needed to taste. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes or longer for optimum flavor.
Sauce will keep in the refrigerator for up to one week.
