Gindo's Bourbon Maple Glaze is sweet heat to the extreme. This glaze is amazing over bone in ham, duck breast or ribs! Use maple syrup if you do not have any maple sugar on hand.
1/2 C unsalted butter
1/2 C brown sugar
1/4 C maple sugar or 1/3 C maple syrup
¼ Cup Gindo’s Honey Habanero
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
4 cloves of garlic smashed
1.5 fl oz ( shot glass ) bourbon
Heat butter in a saucepan over medium heat until butter is golden brown (about5 - 7 minutes).
Add brown sugar, maple sugar, Gindo’s Honey Habanero and cinnamon. Stir until sugars are dissolved. About 5 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and add crushed garlic. Bring just to a simmer and remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. The glaze should be at room temperature before applying to your dish. Enjoy!
