Warm up and get cozy with our spiced apple butter this fall. Perfect to spread on your favorite slice of bread, drizzle over cinnamon rolls or use in a buttercream frosting. Feel free to adjust the heat level in this recipe by adding more or less of Gindo's Honey Habanero.
6.5 lbs apples ( peeled, cored & sliced )
1/2 C organic brown sugar
1/4 C organic cane sugar
1 Tbsp gr. cinnamon
1 Tbsp Gindo’s Honey Habanero
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp gr. allspice
1/4 tsp gr. clove
Combine all ingredients in your crockpot, cover and cook on low setting for 10 hours.
Feel free to stir intermittently throughout the day. When time is up turn off heat and blend using an immersion blender. ( a food processor or stand up blender will also work here )
Once blended remove from heat, let cool and transfer to a sealable container and refrigerate for up to two weeks or freeze for up to 5 or 6 months.
