Thank you to all who contributed to the success of Artie's Paleo Sauces! We raised $2,140 for Arthur & Eva's trust fund, and we couldn't have done it without you. It has been amazing to be able to honor his memory in this way. Thank you again for all of your support!
From the moment we met our friend's brother Artie Stevens a few years ago, we immediately fell into conversation and discovered we shared a passion for food and the drive to make it our life's work.
Artie was a huge supporter of Gindo's from the very beginning. He always told us that if we could create a Paleo-friendly hot sauce he would carry it at Arties Paleo OnTheGo, his Paleo and Macro meal delivery service that has garnered a tremendous amount of praise and momentum throughout Indiana.
I would tell Artie that we used such a small amount of organic cane sugar in our recipe that it doesn't even measure a calorie per serving, but that small amount didn't quite measure up to his standards for Paleo living. I'm sad to say he and I will never be able to collaborate together because of his unexpected death several months ago.
It's funny how life works. After we learned of his passing, I feel as though Artie spoke to me. It wasn't long before the new Paleo recipes just came to me and, incredibly, ended up working out on the first try!
We finally created two straightforward, everyday Paleo-friendly hot sauces and, of course, named them after the man who inspired them: Artie's Paleo Red and Artie's Paleo Green.
The idea to honor Artie and help his family in some way came pretty soon after he passed but has taken us several months to bring to fruition.
To help support his wife and two young children, we will be donating all the net proceeds from the sales of these two hot sauces to the trust fund set up in both Arthur and Eva's names under section 2503(c). We made 30 cases, and if they are as successful as we hope they will be, we will definitely bring them back!
You can help support this cause by ordering Artie's Paleo Red and/or Green hot sauces here.
If you're interested in making a direct donation to the family, you can also go to OnwardForArtie.com where a fund that was set up before Artie passed continues to collect money to help Erica, Arthur and Eva Stevens.
In loving memory, Arthur "Artie" Stevens IV, February 28, 1978-November 9, 2017. Owner of Indy's Kitchen, Artie's Paleo OnTheGo, and Artie's on Central
We want to thank our dear friend and Artie's sister, Leah Taormina, and Artie's wife, Erica Stevens, for helping us put this together. We love you guys!

Chicagoland breweries have developed a strong affinity for collaborating with Gindos, and there are several reasons why this partnership has become so popular.
