Gindo’s
Fall is here and that means acorn squash has arrived! Our Garlic Herb recipe will show you just how savory and delicious acorn squash can be. I know the traditional recipe for acorn squash involves some brown sugar and maple syrup, but we wanted to show you something different.
1 acorn squash halved and sliced in 1/4" slices
4 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsps Gindo’s Original
1/3 C grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp Gindo’s Italian Bread Dip
2 Tbsp minced fresh herbs ( we minced fresh rosemary, thyme, sage and parsley )
1 Tbsp minced garlic & shallot
1 tsp Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 400º. Heat butter over medium high heat and add garlic and shallots. Saute until fragrant 2 - 3 minutes
Add Gindo’s Original and reduce sauce, about 5 minutes. Remove sauce from heat and let cool slightly
Slice acorn squash into 1/4" thick slices and toss with Gindo’s reduced sauce and remaining ingredients.
Spread squash slices out evenly over a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes. Remove, let cool serve and enjoy!
