Gindo's Mediterranean Box
TUNISIAN HARISSA
Harissa is a chili paste that is native to North African and Moroccan foods and has been dubbed the "national condiment of Tunisia." Gindo's Tunisian Harissa hot sauce is an irresistibly delicious and spicy sauce that is perfect for grilled meats, fish, vegetables, rice and cous cous. Mix with cream cheese, mayo or olive oil for a spicy dip or spread.
SPICY MUFFULETTA
Last year, Gindo made a Giardiniera hot sauce, and it was a hit. This year he decided to create a new take on the classic Italian olive salad. Tangy and savory notes accented by the delicious saltiness of the olives, this spicy sauce will bring out the flavors of a fresh made Italian beef, hoagie, cheese steak or club sandwich as well as pizza, bruschetta & pastas.
MEDITERRANEAN
A spicy favorite that is making a return for the second year! This Mediterranean sauce is earthy, savory, vibrant and spicy with subtle hints of tomatoes, onion, garlic, olives and capers. Enjoy with anything from roasted eggplant, grilled salmon, roast beef and pork to pasta salads, rice, flatbreads and hummus. Or mix with aioli, Greek yogurt, or cream cheese for a delicious sandwich spread or dip.
This holiday tradition began in 2014 when Gindo received an abundance of fresh Ghost Peppers harvested from local farms. Now, every year, when the chill creeps in with the autumn breeze, and the farmers pluck the final bounty of the season from their fields before the first frost takes hold, we begin the process of crafting our three annual Ghost of Christmas pepper sauces.
Great chefs are artists who create experience through aroma, texture, high quality ingredients, and unique flavor pairings, and in that sense Gindo is theworld’s firsthot saucier.
With other hot sauce companies now following our suit, we’re noticing the emergence of unique qualities celebrating the Midwest’s diverse ethnic and agricultural history and its distinct cuisine. Let's take a look at a new style of hot sauce which we're fondly referring to as "Heartland Heat"...
